Introducing Thursday Three...a brand new linky to inspire your blog posts! Every Thursday, I will reveal a new prompt. To play along, simply share your take on your blog, and link back here. Are you ready...
Here's the first prompt:
When you have nothing to look forward to, you're just existing from day to day. Not very exciting, is it? My sister always has something in the works, and it always amazes me how she manages to go on lovely holidays...Egypt, Albania, England...you name it. Her secret, just plan it and pay the deposit. That way, you have something to work towards. Makes sense really. Mind you, she is amazing at budgeting. Me...not so much. Having said that...I do have three things coming up that I am really looking forward to. They may not be overseas holidays to beautiful destinations, but I'm excited nonetheless.
First up...the Storyboard Kits scrapbook retreat in March
I'm hosting this one, and will be joined by 40 scrapbookers at Stanwell Tops for a weekend of crafty fun! I'm having loads of fun planning games, working on challenges, and putting together a beautiful kit of goodies for each of the ladies coming along. I haven't released a kit for my business since July, and I'm looking forward to this retreat being the relaunch!
Secondly...the Digital Parents Conference at the end of March.
I can't wait to catch up with all of my bloggy friends, hear the amazing speakers, learn some stuff, make some connections...and have some fun! To make it even more enjoyable...my family are joining me! The conference is only one day, so instead of flying down by myself, Andrew and I thought we'd make a family weekend out of it. Andrew and the kids will explore Melbourne while I'm at the conference, then the next couple of days will be spent having a fun together. I can't wait to show the kids Melbourne. I hope the penguins are still active in March.
You can see from the blinking button there, that I am seeking sponsorship to help cover my conference costs. If you're interested in working with me, please drop me an email, and we can discuss the details. Thanks!
The third thing...I'm really looking forward to our wedding anniversary in May.
I know it's a few months away yet, but being the hopeless romantic I am, we're planning something special. Last year, Andrew and I celebrated our 10th anniversary, and the day passed by almost unnoticed and I can't remember why. That's not going to happen this year. I have arranged for a family photo shoot by my super talented friend, photographer Janine Kaye. Janine is moving to WA soon, and I just had to have some more photos taken by her before she leaves. Afterwards (or maybe during), we'll be sealing our love by adding to the padlocks attached to the Sea Cliff bridge...like these ones. (photo by Andrew Burns). I can't wait!
These three things, and many more, are sure to make 2012 a memorable year.
