Calling all Illawarra Crafters!

Its time to celebrate the 155th Annual Dapto Show!
The Dapto Show will be held on Friday, 20 January 2012 and Saturday, 21 January 2012, at the Dapto Showground!


This year, I have been asked to be a judge for the Crafts, and Paper Craft sections. I'm so honoured to participate, and I can't wait to see what the local crafters have been creating. I'd love to see some of your work there too!  Here's the details...

Section 19 - Crafts
Closing date for entry form: Tuesday 17 January 2012
Entry fee: 50c (seriously! It's only 50c to enter)

Delivery of Exhibits:  Exhibits will be accepted in the new Pavilion (located behind the grandstand) on Thursday 19 January between 7pm-8pm or Friday 20 January between 8am-9am

All exhibits must be the own work of the exhibitor and must have been completed in the previous two (2) years. All exhibits are to be displayed with exhibitors tickets attached.

CLASS:
  1. Piece of hand made pottery
  2. Tapestry, framed
  3. Tapestry, long stitch, framed
  4. Toy making
  5. Best dressed doll
  6. 2 articles suitable for a gift
  7. Article of Christmas decoration
  8. Any article featuring beading
  9. Article of folk art
  10. Photo frame or photo album in cottage craft
  11. Article in decoupage
  12. Any article not specified, (not ceramics)
  13. Tapestry long stitch, framed, for exhibitors over 60 years
  14. Article of recycled material
The most outstanding Craft exhibit will receive a Ribbon and $25, sponsored by the CWA Dapto Branch.

Section 19 - Paper Craft

CLASS:

  1. Scrapbooking - single or double layout; with titles, photos and journaling, and must have examples of either/or/and stamping, hand stitching or punch use
  2. Card Making - must show some stamping techniques
  3. Quilling or Paper Tole - either a single scrapbooking layout or card using these techniques
Most outstanding Paper Craft exhibit will receive a Ribbon, and an album pack donated by Scrapbooking Delights.

There's also a small amount of prize money for each of the classes.

Here's my tip...do not enter a project that you have been taught in a class. I will know!! Make sure it's your own original work.
