Something to talk about...or perhaps drool over...

This week I thought I'd play along with Melissa for "Something to talk about" to lighten up the mood around here. I've been working on Week 2 of Simplify Your Life challenge, and I have really been struggling. I thought, maybe if I took a break and blogged about something else, the answers would come to me. Well, the answers to Melissa's criteria for this week came to me in a flash!
"In a fantasy world, forget about spouses and loves, if you could fall in love with {or be best friends with, I don't think it should all be about who you'd shag, so lets have some from both categories} a movie or tv character, name 5 you would choose. Not the actors but the movie characters. You have to tell us why..."
There are plenty of television and movie characters that I would want to be friends with, for sure...like Josie Grossie (Never Been Kissed), or the gang from How I Met Your Mother, or Friends. However, I'm bringing the challenge back to its base level (or gutter...you pick).  My list of five comprises the four hottest characters on television (imho)...with one hot movie character thrown in for good measure.  Before you judge...let me explain...

Detective Elliot Stabler from Law and Order SVU
Played by Christopher Meloni

What can I say about Detective Stabler?  This is one detective who wears a suit VERY well (who doesn't love a man in a suit?). He's strong, dedicated, intelligent, passionate, athletic, and a family man. I like that he loses his shit occasionally (for which I can forgive him, because the person on the receiving end is usually a scumbag criminal). He can play good cop, bad cop with me any time. lol.

ps. I really thought Stabler and Benson would get together one day. sigh.
Dean Winchester from Supernatural
Played by Jensen Ackles

A rebel with a supernatural cause. Dean's the bad boy of the Winchester brothers; driving a muscle car and listening to heavy rock. Maybe it's just the smouldering stare, cheeky grin and leather jackets...maybe its because he's trying to save the world from demons (got to love a man who will fight for you). Doesn't matter how tough he is, he still has his butt kicked occasionally...showing a vulnerable side. Makes you want to break out the first aid kit and nurse him back to health.

Dean: "I'll stay here. Hook up with the posse, cause you know me, I'm a posse magnet. I mean I love posse. Make that into a t-shirt."
Sam: "You done?"

Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer / AngelPlayed by David Boreanez

Who doesn't love a brooding vampire with a soul? This vampire is the real deal...none of that glitter and walking around in the daytime stuff. Angel's got that whole tortured soul, unrequited love thing going on...and once again, I'm won over by a character wearing a suit, who's fighting bad guys/demons (you may be detecting a pattern here).

Angel: "It is confusing. And I…when we’re apart…it’s easier. It hurts, every day. But I live with it. And now you’re…you’re right here…and I can actually reach out…and -- it’s more than confusing. It’s unbearable.”

Special Agent Tony DiNozzo from NCIS
Played by Michael Weatherly
Better known as VERY Special Agent DiNozzo...sigh. DiNozzo is seriously sexy, quick witted and tough. He's an unashamed flirt, a bit promiscuous and a little immature, but he knows what he's doing, and can come up with the goods when needed. He fills a designer suit like no man's business, but still looks great with that dorky NCIS cap on his head.

Gibbs: "You got a B-Plan DiNozzo?"
Tony: "B…bb…B-Plan? Plan B? Be prepared. Of course I have a Plan B. What kind of agent afloat would I be if I didn’t have a Plan-B? You…you gotta have a Plan-B. I’m all about Plan-B."
(Phone rings, Tony answers)
Tony: "Plan-A. They found him."

Last, but certainly not least...every woman's man of the moment...

Noah from The Notebook
Played by Ryan Gosling

If you haven't seen The Notebook, you might just be living under a rock.  I have just two words for you...that kiss! If that's not enough to make you a Noah fan, nothing is.

Noah: "So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me... everyday."

Now, you might ask...is it because they're hot? Well, partly, but that's not 100% the reason. In no way do I find Christopher Meloni's character in Oz, hot. Same goes for David Boreanez in Bones. erk. Let's not forget Ryan Gosling in Lars and the Real Girl...or should that be, let's try to forget. That was one messed up character!

So, who would make it onto your Top 5?

ps. Love you Andrew ;-)
