Christmas cards made easy with chipboard from WOW!

With Christmas less than a month away (eek!), it's time to turn your attention to sending out your Christmas cards. You could send out the generic store bought version...or your could make someone's day by posting a handmade card. We love receiving handmade cards (hint, hint) and  I proudly display them on our blinds for all to see.

Words or Whatever have released loads of beautiful Christmas inspired chipboard, and this month, Words or Whatever is challenging you to get your Christmas creativity hat on, and make a Christmas card or two! This is such an easy challenge...and most of use have scraps galore just begging to be turned into cards (entry details are at the end of this post).  Here's a couple of cards that I've made for the challenge.  For both cards, I have used My Mind's Eye "All Is Bright" patterned papers. I just love the soft blue and deep red combination...and what's Christmas without a bit of glitter. For this card, I have coloured the WOW chipboard in a deep red, then added a coordinating glitter glue over the top for a bit of extra bling.

For this card, I have coloured the mini word ornaments with markers that coordinate beautifully with the patterned papers, then coated each piece in clear glaze.  A fun Christmas sprig was stapled to the top, and the baubles glued underneath. Remember, you don't want to add too much bulk to your Christmas cards...you still want them to fit in an envelope! lol.
