Heidi Swapp...

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of Scraploot! Sue and Craig have done such a beautiful job of expanding their internet business into a bricks and mortars store, and its just stunning! You can see in the pic below, there is a gorgeous gazebo in the middle of the store! Its so worth a drive up to Prospect and I know I'll be going back for a visit. I had to go and check out my goodies halfway through the night because I could have put one of everything in my basket! I was trying to pace myself (lol).

Heidi Swapp was their special guest for the launch and I totally enjoyed her inspirational talk and left there feeling uplifted and ready to take on new challenges. I loved watching her scrap too - her scrapping style is very similar to mine - no planning at the start, just a bunch of product in front of her and she keeps adding until she's happy and feels its done! Loved it - Heidi is such a sweet person. I also got to spend time with my friend Sar (she's such a doll and I totally enjoyed chatting in the car with her for a couple of hours), and I got to catch up with a few familiar faces and meet a few new ones...shout outs to Belinda, Alison, Lauren, Sheree and all the other girls. All in all, I had a fabulous time!I'll leave you with a layout...not a Heidi product in sight though (lol). This layout is part two to the CherryArte/Loretta Grayson class mentioned in the previous post. I added an extra sheet of patterned paper and cardstock to the kit, and made another layout - gotta get your money's worth these days and use up all your scraps!

Today its busy, busy, busy...finishing up at work, followed by the daycare Christmas party, then off to my friend Jodie's place to watch the local Carolers sing on her front lawn. Jodie and Mick put together the most beautiful Christmas light display and the local church asked if they could sing there...so looking forward to it! No doubt there will be plenty of pics to share.
