Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is coming to Sydney!

This is big, big news! Those of you not familiar with Williams-Sonoma, may recognise it's sister store...Pottery Barn. My first experience with Pottery Barn was thanks to "Friends". Oh, how I wanted Rachel's apothecary table (from the days of y'or) so badly. lol. Since then, I've had to live vicariously through the Pottery Barn website...coveting beautiful rugs, lighting, and pieces of furniture that I haven't been able to get shipped to Australia. Well, those days are nearly over!

Come 2 May 2013, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and West Elm, will be opening their doors for trading in their new, purpose-built space at Bondi Junction!

Last week I had the opportunity to meet with Baker Brand PR, and fellow food, design and family bloggers; to discuss all things Williams-Sonoma, Inc. It was a great opportunity to view some of the goodies available for Easter, taste their wares, and divulge in the beautiful images in the current catalogues; all in readiness for the opening in May.
Meet the Williams-Sonoma blogging family

Displayed in the courtyard were a sampling of Easter products especially for the kids...adorable Easter baskets, soft toys, dinnerware and bunny slippers. Don't they just make you go awhhhh. My favourite is Pottery Barn Kids lovely soft sleeping bag with cute animal pillow attached. My daughter has been begging me for one ever since seeing it...and yes, they're available in boy colours too.
Products featured:
Sherpa Lamb treat bag; Bunny decor; Peter Rabbit plates; bunny slippers
Sleeping bag (all Pottery Barn Kids)

The Easter theme continued with the buffet table...delicious biscuits shaped like bunnies and chicks...sour gummy eggs, displayed in bunny bowls; and all the fixings for chocolate chip pancakes. How cute is that bunny balancing a plate on his feet!
Products featured:
Easter mini pancake moulds, Williams-Sonoma natural sprinkles (Williams-Sonoma)
Bunny bowl, bunny egg cup, bunny cupcake stand (Pottery Barn)

The pancakes and cookies (sorry hubby, they're not biscuits), were made using Williams-Sonoma DIY making kits. Not only were they delicious, they are beautifully packaged; making them a great gift for any time of the year...hello Mother's Day! BTW...the Williams-Sonoma natural sprinkles are the yummiest sprinkles I have ever tasted. In comparison, the other ones on the market taste like chalk.
Products featured:
Williams-Sonoma Natural Sprinkles; Sour Gummy Eggs, DIY making kits - butter, cheese, mustard, chocolate chip pancakes, mulling spices (all Williams-Sonoma)

This is just a taste of what's to come. In the meantime, I'll be perusing the catalogues over and over again, circling the things that I love...that's if I can get them back from my daughter.

So, mark your calendars for Thursday, 2 May 2013...
