Festive treats from The Body Shop... {giveaway closed}

GIVEAWAY CLOSED
Winner: Leanne Love

It's that time of year...the search for the perfect present. Every Christmas I scour the stores for festive items for the kids...something that screams Christmas, but is practical as well! I was recently invited to The Body Shop to preview their new festive treats, and let me tell you, they have got it sewn up this year.  Tina and I arrived a little early for the event, and took advantage by wandering around the store and checking out all of the goodies on display...
I instantly fell in love with the Body Shop's cute pudding loofers and reindeer sponges...they're going to be perfect as advent calendar goodies for the kids. The gingerbread men gloves are selling super quick, so if you want one, you better head to your local Body Shop very soon. The goodies above are very reasonably priced, and would make great stocking fillers. Personally, I like to give the kids their festive goodies early in December, so they have a full month enjoy them!
Once everyone had arrived, Sam from The Body Shop talked us through all of their new and limited edition products, where they were sourced from, and the design stories behind each product. It was really fascinating. To be honest, I've never given much thought to it before. You see an item you like, you pick it up and buy it. Not so...
This year, The Body Shop's range is about evoking memories and nostalgia that takes you back to a special place. A scent or smell that takes you back to a special time and the festive spirit.
Love that. Even the product names make you think of Christmas...Cranberry Joy, Vanilla Bliss, and Ginger Sparkle...they smell as delicious as they sound.
The Body Shop's incredibly talented make up artists demonstrated their new limited edition Smoky Copper and Smoky Moonstone Eye Palettes...then it was time for us to have a mini makeover! I'm wearing the Smoky Copper eye colours...the overall effect is light and lovely. My eyebrows were touched up as well...the difference is amazing! Now, I'll admit, I'm a bit of a gump when it comes to applying make up, and I was thrilled to discover that there's smoky eye tutorials right there on the packaging! No more second guessing.
My favourite discovery, besides the fab product, was the packaging. So much thought has been put into making the packaging reusable (I can't tell you how many wicker baskets I have thrown away over the years). Each of the gift packs available in store, come in the most adorable and reusable tins, bowls, cups, etc. I would buy it just for the packaging! lol. The sorbet colours, and patterns, are right on trend...coral, lemon, orange, teal...beautiful. You will want to repurpose the packaging...win for you, and win for the environment!

For an extra bit of eye candy...I've put together a little Body Shop Christmas tree for you, showcasing some of my favourite finds from the night.  Click on the image for more product information.
