Review and Giveaway | realestateVIEW App

Searching for a new home can be a very daunting task. Thankfully technology has caught up, and you no longer have to rely on the Saturday morning paper for the home guide, or walk for miles viewing the homes on display at your local real estate agent. There are a number of real estate apps available on the market that will make shopping for your new home so much easier! Today I'm talking about realestateVIEW.

My hubby and I have been very much settled into our home for over 10 years, and we have no intention of moving any time soon. My sister and brother-in-law on the other hand, have been looking at real estate for well over a year, trying to find the perfect family home, in their price range. Both my sister and I have installed realestateVIEW.com.au onto our iPhones, and regularly have telephone conversations about the properties she's interested in. It goes something like this...Beth: "Hey Lisa, I've seen this house in (insert suburb), on (insert street)". me: "hang on a sec...(start looking up property via app)...yeah, that looks really nice...its got a great (insert feature)". I love that we can both be looking at the same property even though we live an hour's drive away from each other.

realestateVIEW.com.au is an incredibly easy app to use. Simply type in the suburb you're looking for property in and tap search. The app will populate a list of properties available for sale (or rent, depending on your need) in that area. It clearly shows how many bedrooms, bathrooms and garages the property has, as well as the price range and inspection time. To view the property, tap on the image for more detail. Have a flick through the images to see more of the property...what the bathrooms actually look like, get an indication of how the yard is set out...and maybe have a giggle at how people decorate their homes (or is that just me...lol).  If you're interested in the property, tap on the star in the top right corner. This will add the property to "myVIEW". These are the properties you've shortlisted. No more having to scroll through all the listings again to find the properties you like! Here's a couple of screen shots to give you an idea. NB. These properties are well out of my price range, but a girl can dream...

In myVIEW, you can "check in" to properties and easily keep track of the homes you've visited, as well as plan your journey.  Let me tell you...a few months ago, we were searching for properties with my hubby's brother and fiance (now his wife...yay!), and it was so difficult dealing with bits of paper and trying to schedule in all of the open houses. I wish I'd known about this app then! It would have made property inspections a lot easier. This app acts as your "diary" and automatically organises the properties you've shortlisted, so that you don't miss out on property inspections and auctions...its all stored there in date order! You can also access the maps easily, so you don't get lost on your way.

If you're not quite ready to buy, realestateVIEW.com.au helps you keep on top of the property market by providing the most up to date listings, sales and auction results and median prices  (available in VIC, NSW, SA, and TAS only). This app is updated daily,  giving you the property information you need and want – anytime, anywhere.  realestateVIEW.com.au is available for FREE for both iPhone and Android phones.
