I've decided to start making layouts about the people I cherish. These are the people I want to remember when I'm old and losing my faculties. lol. This layout is about Sandra. We first met at Scrapbooking Delights about 5.5 years ago. I started teaching there about 2 years ago and its like my second home. I'm so proud of Sandra too...she's just bit the bullet and become the new owner of Scrapbooking Delights! Way to go!! I can't wait to see what direction you take the shop in.
This layout is about Rachael, another scrapbooker who has become a dear friend. I met Rach at Addicted 2 Scrappin' on Wiggles night. She was painting these white plastic rivets deep blue and distressing the crap out of paper and I thought she was absolutely insane! lol...remember, I was ex-Creative Memories at the time. I swear Rach and I could almost be the same person, we have so much in common. Now, as well as scrapping together, we are ladies who lunch and chat and gossip...love her!
Family
For this one, I used the packaging that came with the Collage Press "Sweet Shoppe" collection Sandra gave me. I just love every single paper, and instead of cutting them up, I was able to reuse the packaging. Our kids just love lollipops, and could eat them all day long (if we let them).
I'm still dipping into that box of photos that Andrew found recently...here's Sethy-boy at around 6 months old. In these pics, my Dad was tickling him and Seth was giggling his chubby little head off. There are some more pics to go with it, so eventually it will be a double.
Another one of Sethy...this time at the playcentre. Most of the photos we have of Seth at that age show him wearing a bib. Not very attractive, but a definite necessity...he was a terrible dribbler and he also suffered from silent reflux, so he often made a mess of his clothes. I didn't realise I'd bought that Scenic Route paper twice (lol).
I've started scrapping some photos from our last family trip to England back in 2000. I won't be sitting down and doing them in one hit though, just a layout at a time and eventually they'll be done. These photos were taken at Skipton Castle. We were there in the May, and the blossoms at that time of year were just incredible. I fell in love with them instantly, and now I have four of these trees planted in the front yard. I look forward to spring every year to see those soft pink blooms!
Another necessity when travelling...the pit stop. These pics were taken on the side of the road somewhere between Skipton and York. There's Mum and Beth making lunch in the boot of the hire car, and the view. Always so lovely and green!
Well, that's it for now. Check back tomorrow for the release of the next Inspired Blueprints sketch!
