Yesterday afternoon we had Seth's parent/teacher interview. Andrew and I were so nervous to find out how he's been going. His teacher informs us that he's the best reader in the class and already performing way above kindy expectations, his spelling is excellent and his sentence structure is very good. Miss O also tells us that the stories he writes are really descriptive and funny. Most of them appear to be about the Eels! (Andrew has a lot to answer for there! lol) She also encourages him to participate in group descussions because he makes inciteful comments. He recently got 100% for his sight words and Miss O made the statement that we must go through his sight words often - to which we replied "he's never brought them home!". Its all him and all good! His maths is really good too, and last night he tells me he loves religion at school. So proud. Like most boys, he needs to work on his neatness with writing. Seems fitting that this layout was one of the ones appearing in For Keeps this month (Issue #68). The journaling relates to our feelings about Sethy-boy starting school. We know for sure now that we did the right thing; and to all the parents out there who tried to discourage us because he was too young, well ner ner ne ner ner (lol).
Here's another one from For Keeps. It looks much more impressive in real life. There's a whole heap of distressing going on that just didn't get picked up in print. Both layouts are 100% Bella product from the Boyz 2 Men range. Great colours to work with.
Lastly, here's my take on Sketch 5 over at the
Got Sketch class. The sketch was for a card, but I've transformed it into a layout. Another old photo from Eme's first Christmas. I've decided to start using all the photos I've printed over the years and get them into albums! I'll still do the current ones, but the old photos deserve to be scrapped too.
Tonight I have a class at
Scrapbooking Delights using the Kaiser boy range - very bright and colourful. I'll share those layouts soon. There's also a stocktake sale going on - so come on in and grab yourself a bargain!
Cheers, Lis.
