all is quiet

You know how sometimes you make plans to do things throughout the day and then everything goes awry...today was one of those days. I had planned on cleaning up my (s)craproom (once again) so that I could find all my favourite products and be creative. What ended up happening was that on a whim I needed to buy birthday presents for the two parties Seth is going to this weekend (only 1/2 hr shopping time), then I decided to head over to Domayne to have some photos printed. I had to have mobile phone prints didn't I...their machines don't print them from cd. Thankfully the girl behind the counter took pity on me and loaded them from her pc. I picked out my photos in no time, then went to pay ($1.50) with my eftpos card (sad I know, but I don't carry cash). Anyway, you need to spend $2 don't you...but today was my lucky day, the girl at the cash register had a jar of coins, so she sprang for my photos (v.embarrassing). But my photos came out wrong, so I had to do them again. What should have taken 10-15mins ended up taking 1.5 hours. I can't really complain since I got them for free. I did however run into Janine and had a chat, so that made it better.

So instead of cleaning I opted to pop into Scrapbooking Delights to create a double page spread about my friend Kim's son's birthday party. I didn't get home until nearly 2.30pm, by which time I couldn't be bothered cleaning anymore, so sat down and watched Ready Steady Cook. I picked up the kids and their papa (who can't drive because of his broken arm) and brought everyone home. Once the kids come home I have to hit the ground running - there's dinners to cook, baths to run, teeth to brush, dressing, cuddling, reading and settling. Eme went to sleep no trouble at all (see below) and Seth, well he wanted to stay up and watch the Simpsons. He's in bed now listening to an alphabet cd which surprisingly is very relaxing - I know it put me to sleep the last time I listened to it (lol). All's quiet in the Warren household - just the way I like it. I now have to start cleaning up my room for real because I'm going to Kim's tomorrow to scrapbook and no point going if I don't have anything to do. Good night. L.
