last weekend

Kept very busy this past weekend - went to Brige's house on Friday night for a bit of scrapping and managed to get very confused in the dark driving over! I accidentally drove over a storm water drain when I pulled over to get my bearings and ripped a hole in the wall of my tyre!! Luckily I was literally one house away from Brige and made it to her driveway. Having never changed a tyre before I thought it would be a good time to learn, however Brige's wonderful husband Mick, and Nell came to my rescue. Massive thank yous to Mick for getting out of his sick bed (knee surgery - ouch!) and changing it for me. I felt so bad - I hope he hasn't hurt himself.

Saturday morning saw Andrew take the car to the tyre place to have the tyre replaced (not able to fix it unfortunately), so that I could drive up to Sydney. I went to see "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at the Sydney Theatre with Mum and Beth. We had lunch at the Lowenbrau, which was delicious and then walked around to the Theatre via the Rocks markets. It was sooo cold - but thankfully the long walk warmed us up. The musical was hilarious and Magda Szubanski was such a crack up - she plays a 12 year old boy in a spelling bee, and in one part starts writing out the word with her foot - I had visions of her as Sharon in Kath and Kim - I was nearly crying I was laughing so hard!

Sunday was really quiet at my house. We just hibernated inside all day. I redid my layout for my next class and hung out with the kids. All in all it was a really nice day. Though it was so cold and it started to rain again - gee I love winter!

This layout is my entry for Sketch #5 on Sketches Oz. I think I've nearly used every photo that Jo took of us last year. Definitely got my monies worth there!

Take care everyone - and stay out of the cold!
