5 Spring racing fashion looks...with Target

Brought to you by Target Australia

The Spring racing season is just around the corner, and plans for social gatherings to celebrate are in full swing! Aside from bubbles, canapes, and which horses may perform the best, the next most important consideration is your outfit. Spring racing events are the perfect excuse to dress up, feel feminine, and wear accessories such as fascinators, that you wouldn't normally wear. To take the stress out of shopping for your Spring racing look, I have created five style boards featuring a variety of gorgeous party dresses and the all important accessories...all of which are currently available at Target!

Look 1: Spring Filly
For this look, I was inspired by the fresh floral pattern on this beautiful white based dress. The cap sleeves are perfect for keeping the sun off your shoulders, while the knee length hem still allows you to show plenty of leg. Target's round stud detail cross body clutch is a fun accessory that gives this look a little more edge, and can be either be held with the strap around your wrist, or over the body with the removable strap...perfect for keeping those hands free (bubbles in one hand, form guide in the other perhaps?). Style this dress a sweet lemon cardigan, with royal blue skinny belt over the top.

Look 2: Pilot the field
A slim line shift dress and hot pink wedge heels give this look serious va va va voom! It's the little touches of black that tone down this bright floral, and make it a little more edgy. With the weather as unpredictable as it is at the moment, you can't go wrong by adding a classic black jacket...an investment piece that can be worn all year round. Target have several black jackets available, so choosing the right one for your shape will be a cinch!

Look 3: Odds-on favourite
With a classic black and white ensemble, you'll be turning heads for all the right reasons. You will feel fun, flirty, and feminine in this polka dot print dress. Adding Target's Hot Options bobble cardi, and black and white clutch with chain detail, will give this outfit an elegant Chanel vibe for a fraction of the price. Finish of this look with a pair of Target's Monroe peep toe heels...which coincidentally, are perfect for walking on grass!

Look 4: Sitting pretty
Coral is one of the hottest colours this season. Step out in this pale coral Hot Options lack back high low dress, teamed with neutral accessories...a nude skinny belt with gold detail, and silver and nude wedge heels. It is perfectly okay to mix your metals...a silver and teal clutch bag will tie in the teal floral fascinator, as well as the silver detail on your heels. A rose gold watch with coral detail will add warmth to your outfit, and keep you on time for the all important big race! Add a classic cut jacket in coral to add more structure to your outfit and keep you warm during this unpredictable season.

Look 5: Foot on the till
For those not in the know..."foot on the till" is racing terminology for "ready to win"...and that's exactly what you will be in this gorgeous outfit. This dress is pretty, youthful, and feminine...with a little bit of an edge. Love the mesh detail on the top....it's just begging for some funky accessories...a gold studded clutch purse, and black skinny belt with gold buckle. Instead of opting for the expected black fascinator, I have selected a green satin fasinator in the same tone found in the floral print of the dress. Mix it up even more with Target's ladies' crew neck crop cardigan in Winsome Orchid. Try wearing the belt over the top of your cardigan to draw attention to your curves.

All fashion items above are available in Target stores now!

Purchasing your spring racing look from Target this season, will enable you to pull together a winning look that is right on trend, and at a great price...meaning more money for champagne when your horse comes in first!

Stay tuned tomorrow when I reveal my racing look from Target, PLUS how to style your hair three different ways while wearing a fascinator.
