Heads up scrapbookers!
Words or Whatever have released some brand new designs for September...in chipboard, ebony matt board and mdf...and this weekend I had the opportunity to play with them all.
First up...WOW's ebony doily corners (1620E). I love this design cut in black...so very effective.
I've combined the ebony doily corner with a homemade transparency and a load of colourful flowers in colours pulled from the patterned paper. The black really pops!
Next, WOW's mini speech bubbles, which are available in chipboard and mdf.
I treated both the mdf and chipboard the same way...with a liberal dose of white mist! A quick blast from a heat gun dries them off, and blows the mist out of the grooves, revealing the detail on the pieces.
...and now for a challenge! The WOW team are challenging you to create a layout using these layout recipe ingredients!
Here's my take...
Once again I've used my favourite chipboard technique...colouring with markers! It would be so easy to spritz it with mist and call it done. I actually find colouring in all the little details very relaxing, and the end result looks fab! I added a little glitter to the leaves and bird wings too, just to amp up the girlie factor. Product used | WOW's Lovebirds singing on a branch (WOW1623)...isn't that just the prettiest name for a piece of chipboard?
