The colour of happiness...

Here at the Warren house, I am making plans to furnish and decorate our front living room.  It's going to be a big job to clear it out. Unfortunately it's become one of those rooms that everything that doesn't currently have a home, gets dumped there.  A few years ago, hubby painted it the colours I chose...a dirty beige with a rust red feature wall. I don't know what I was thinking. I really do prefer cool colours.  I have in my mind a colour scheme of pale grey, yellow, white, cream and maybe a pop of teal.  Whenever I think of sitting in there, this song comes to mind...

I think one of these prints would make the perfect addition to the room...the problem is which one! So many creative people have designed prints based on "You Are My Sunshine", each equally beautiful in it's own way.  To throw a spanner into the works...I found this embroidery hoop on pinterest. Stunningly simple and gorgeous! Perhaps I need to make one for myself. Decisions, decisions...

btw - I think it's hilarious that I'm picking out prints before selecting an actual paint colour and furniture.  Typical me really...I bought a tiara before a wedding dress.  I've always been about the accessories. lol.  What do you have hanging on the walls in your home?
