1. What was the last clothing item that you bought?
This coral coloured top and striped scarf. I don't tend to buy a lot of clothes because I always struggle to find items that will fit my frame. Being short and round is difficult to dress at times. Add in the fact that I don't want to dress like a nanna yet...it can make the shopping experience quite difficult! My sister was taking some portraits of me, so I wanted something colourful and casual to wear...so there you have it.
2. If you could stay one age forever, what age would you choose?
It would have to be when I was 22-23. I was just starting to come out of my shell. Life was fun fun fun, and without responsibility. Andrew and I were in the new couple blissful phase, and I would ache to spend time with him on the weekends. I had a great job in the city, and a share house with friends. Sometimes I wonder what happened to that girl. Mind you, if I didn't grow up, I wouldn't be married, or be a mumma...it doesn't pay to stay the one age forever. Imagine all the things you'd be missing out on!
3. When you say “lol”, are you really laughing?
If I write "lol", I am genuinely having a chuckle to myself. If I'm really laughing, I usually write "bahaha". lol. Silly internet speak.
4. What is the most interesting thing you’ve done in the past year?
Let's see...the last year is pretty much a blur. I must say, stepping into the blogging world was certainly eye opening. Attending Blogopolis last year convinced me even more that blogging is definitely something I want to continue and to improve upon. I went along by myself, not knowing a single person in real life, and the friendships I forged that weekend have been invaluable, as was the knowledge I gained. I can't wait to go to this year's Blogopolis!
5. If you started a business, what would it be?
Well, I have started my own business...Storyboard Kits, a scrapbooking kit club. At this stage, I am rebuilding my business after taking some time off to deal with some personal stuff. Finding the time is hard...between working full time and having a family, in can be difficult to fit in time for my business too. I really enjoy putting together the kits, knowing that I'm helping other scrapbookers by putting together items, colours and patterns that they wouldn't necessarily have done themselves, or had the confidence to try.
6. Do your friends/family/coworkers know about your blog?
Yes...there's no avoiding it because it feeds directly to my facebook page. Mind you, the majority of comments I receive are from online friends, or strangers...does that mean my family, friends and co-workers are just lurking?? Fess up people, and leave me a comment!
7. How long does it take you to write an average blog post?
It depends on the topic. If I'm really passionate about something, I can churn out a piece in 15-30 minutes. Some posts can take hours or days...I tend to save the draft and keep coming back to it. The thing that takes the most time when I'm blogging, is editing my photos...especially my scrapbooking layouts. There is no way you can take a photo of a layout and post it up without editing it first. I currently have three draft posts that have been hanging around for months. One day I'll finish them off and post them.
8. How do you keep up with the blogs you follow?
I either check the updated blogs on my sidebar, or click on links in facebook. I very rarely look at my blog reader...I bet it's quite full at the moment. There are so many inspirational bloggers sharing their material, and not enough time in the day to read them all unfortunately.
9. What is your bedtime? Is sex always involved?
I usually go to bed somewhere between 9.30pm and midnight. Sex isn't always on the agenda. I don't know of anyone that finishes their day off that way every single night! If you do, then kudos. If I'm heading off to be at midnight, you can bet that any chance of action is definitely off! I need all the beauty sleep I can get. lol. btw - who said s.e.x. is just for bed time? Oh, that's right, I have children...that would be the only time we have alone together.
10. Introvert or extrovert?
I'm an introvert...big time. I'm the person who quietly enters a room and eases into conversation. I'm not one to burst in and announce my presence. Sometimes I have to fake it, and may appear confident, but inside I'm quivering like a big ol' bowl full of jelly.
11. What is your biggest fear?
My biggest fear is something happening to my husband and kids. I don't even want to think about it or put it into words. Moving on...quickly...
12. What is the best job you ever had?
How lame is this...I loved working at Sizzler! Not just for the cheese toast people. It was so incredibly fun! The pay was crap ($4.24/hr and that was as a trainer!!), but the people and parties made up for it. I think I ate the soup, salad, pasta and dessert every day for two years, and I never put on weight. That all happened once I got a desk job. Must also mention...I met my hubby whilst working at the Supreme Court. That was a great place to work too! Always really interesting, and I made some really wonderful friends there (that I don't see nearly often enough).
13. Dog person/cat person/both/neither?
Neither. It's not that I hate pets...well, maybe it is. They're so needy, noisy and they smell. Having said that, I was the one that agreed to bring a dog into the house, and Marley does love me. I just don't want him inside the house.
14. If you had $1,000 to spend any way you wanted, what would you do with it?
There is a mirror I have my eye on at Freedom that I would pick up straight away...that was a quick $500 spent! I just can't justify spending that amount on something so frivolous at the moment. I honestly don't know what I'd do with the rest...I have really basic needs, and I'm pretty low maintenance (my hubby might argue with me there).

15. How do you "dress" your toast?
I like my toast to be cold before I put the butter on, that way it doesn't melt in. Yum!
16. How do you feel about snow?
Given that I've only ever seen snow twice, I feel indifferent to it. I don't feel the urge to spend loads of money to go skiing every winter. I don't know how I'd cope living in a climate where it snowed during winter. I love our mild winters...cold enough to turn the heater on and snuggle under a blankie, but not so cold that I couldn't go outside. Mind you, the idea of a "snow day" at home is very appealing.

17. What was the worst job you ever had?
My first job was at McDonalds and I hated it! I started when I was 14 and 9 months...the youngest you could legally have a job at the time. I think mentally I was too young. I felt like I never fit in, mainly because the cool/bitchy girls from school also worked there. The most humiliating day of my working life happened at McDonalds. They decided to start training me on the front registers on the very day I turned up to work with a massive and fresh love bite (not a regular occurrence). I begged them to put me on drive thru that day to save me from the embarrassment, but they wouldn't (urgh). I only lasted there 18 months before I moved onto a job at a supermarket.
18. What song can you not stop listening to?
Thanks to Sandra, I can't stop listening to Lloyd's "Dedication to my ex"...it has such a fun beat! I accidentally downloaded the explicit version to my iphone and every second word is pussy. When you know that every time they say "loving" in the song, they're saying "pussy" in the explicit version...it changes the whole tone of the song!! lol. It bothers me that someone would think it would be okay to say that's my pussy, instead of that's my girl. A woman is more than her vagina. I bet you want to hear that song now! Here 'tis...the clean version...

19. Love your name or hate it?
I don't hate my name, but it's pretty common for a woman my age. Lisa was an incredibly popular name in the early 70's. My parents named my younger sister Elizabeth, and Lisa just happens to be a short version of Elizabeth...so technically my sister and I have the same name. I went through a stage of spelling it Leesa just so that it would look different, but now I just go by regular ol' Lisa, or Lis. I've come to terms with it...that, and I've decided that in my case, Lisa is short for Melissa. lol. My mum wanted to name me Deanie, and I often wonder what kind of life Deanie Heyhoe would have had. (oh, those not in the know...that's my maiden name).
20. How did you choose your blog/twitter handle?
My original twitter name was "heyhoewarren", but I decided to change it after I was being bombarded with porn messages...you know, like Hey Hoe! Yeah, real funny...never heard that before! So I dropped the heyhoe, and stuck with @heyLisaWarren.
