Scrapbooking Sunday...a little WOW goodness...

I've missed sharing my Words or Whatever layouts the last couple of Sundays. Life as we know it has been incredibly hectic. Between my hubby working overtime, our children's sporting commitments, and me organising a scrapbook retreat for 35 women, there hasn't been a lot of time left over to blog!  The Storyboard Kits retreat was so much fun, and in between teaching two classes, I managed to create six layouts!! I'm pretty happy with that...I honestly didn't think I'd have any time at all to get creative.  I'll share those layouts with you soon. Here's a couple that were featured on the WOW blog recently...

First up, a layout about Eme and her big cousin Sabine. Eme just adores Sabine, and I love capturing their time together. This photo was taken last Christmas. The unicorn pillow pet was a gift from Sabine and her family to Eme. She loves that pillow pet and sleeps with it every night!

For this project, I have used WOW's Heart Banner (C1434)The hearts have been coloured with marker, then dots added to the edges for a little more interest. I have wrapped seam binding around the bunting to soften the edge and make it look even more feminine and pretty.

These photos were taken last Christmas too.  I found this doggy neck chief at the local Christmas Warehouse, and I knew it would be perfect for Marley.  He was feeling pretty good this day, all freshly shaven and clean from the pooch parlour, and was enjoying cuddles from his fur-mumma (me). I was pretty impressed that he didn't try to bite it off! He must know to behave when mumma is taking photos. lol.
For this layout, I have used WOW's Baby deer (RWL439).  The deer has been inked in Umber ink (a mid brown), then I highlighted areas for more definition added with Pinecone (a darker brown). I defined the spots on his back, ears and hooves with a brown marker, then coloured the eye coloured with a white gel pen and black marker.  To finish him off, I then added red glitter to his nose and bottom to make him look more festive.  Such a cute piece of chipboard!

I hope you've been having a lovely crafty weekend!  What projects are you working on at the moment?
