Review | Kleenex Cottonelle

Product talk by Nuffnang

Why is it my children go through toilet paper like they're eating lollies? I don't know how they use so much considering how little their bottoms are. lol. I have squished the roll so that its harder to get off, and they still go through it at a rate of knots. To compensate, I have been buying budget toilet paper to save a little money.

We were recently sent a pack of Kleenex Cottonelle to test drive and to say the kids have felt spoilt, is an understatement.  I definitely underestimated the impact of good quality loo paper on their lives. lol. Yesterday they both came to the shops with me to pick up a few supplies...one of which being toilet paper.  When we got to the appropriate aisle, Eme requested the "softy tushy" toilet paper, so Seth went straight to the Kleenex Cottonelle! I'd say that's definitely a thumbs up from them.

As for me...I'm not so sure. Let's get to the bottom of this (pun intended). Whether you're a scruncher or a folder, good quality toilet paper is of utmost importance. Kleenex has always been a trusted brand in this home, and its my first choice for facial tissues every time. As for their toilet paper, there are positives and negatives.

On the plus side: Being a 3-ply toilet paper, it is reasonably priced. I like the quilted pattern and the texture is nice and soft. The scent is not overpowering at all and it tears easily off the roll. It also seems to last the same length of time as other toilet papers that have more sheets per roll.  I like that the product is environmentally friendly and that its the only product of its kind to have the support and endorsement of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). I also like that they support Guide Dogs Australia...hence why they have the cutest ads featuring Labrador puppies. Way to go Kleenex!

On the downside: It left fiborous particles behind (if you get my drift). I asked two of my cousins what they thought, and the response was the same. We use a different type of Kleenex toilet paper in the office, and this never happens. Is it because the Cottonelle paper is too soft and it just can't hold it together under pressure? Whilst I like that it does the job its intended to do well, and its not rough on your tushy (as Eme puts it), the paper residue left behind is a bit gross. So, will I buy it again? The jury is still out. I would love to hear what your experience with this product is.

To erase the mental image of the above, here's some cute Kleenex puppies...enjoy!

For the record...I'm a scruncher. How about you?
