This week,
Liz Qualman is hosting the
Pebbles Inc blog and her challenge to the DT was to create a layout using Pebbles chalks! They come in a variety of colour palettes from basic colours, pastels, earth or jewel tones, as well as metallics and shimmer pearlescents. Each palette also includes an applicator! Make sure you pop over to the Pebbles blog to see how the rest of the DT used chalk on their scrapbooking projects.
I haven't used a lot of chalk in the past, so this was a fantastic challenge for me. I found them really easy to use, and if you moisten the applicator first, you get a richer depth of colour. Here's my layout. I have used a mask to create chocolate coloured spots down the left hand side of my layout. Adding chalk to patterned papers really adds depth...love it!
I have also used my new Martha Stewart loopy punch! Love the effect of it going right around the page. My mum took this photo recently when she took the kids on a day trip to the Little Blowhole at Kiama. The title reads "Love the quiet moments"...so true...I love that the kids are sitting there patiently waiting for the blowhole to go off and watching the ocean. They had a fantastic time together.
The paper and stickers are from the So Tweet collection.
Thanks for looking. Lis.
