turned 3 on Saturday! She is such a delightful little girl and she seems so much older than her 3 years. Eme loves to dress up and one of her favourite presents was this gorgeous fairy outfit - which she chose to wear the entire day! Of course, she was spoilt rotten with tonnes of Dora the Explorer stuff, Barbies, clothes, books, movies and toys. Way more than any little girl could possibly need, so she'll be set for quite a while (what on earth can Santa bring her for Christmas now! lol). We held a morning tea for Emeline at the local park with family and special friends. Once again I stayed up late decorating her cake. This year though, Andrew and I baked! The first time we've actually baked for our kids (lol) and once it was cool, I set to work creating a Dora the Explorer cake! I love how it turned out...unfortunately though, I forgot to take a front on shot of it before it was cut up, but I know the lovely Kim can hook me up there.
This weekend was a massive birthday weekend, so a big shout out and happy birthday to Cass, Anne-Marie, Anj, Alaska and Belinda, and a big happy birthday to my god-daughters Amy and Chloe for this week. I can't believe how many people I know who were born this week!
Seth's on school holidays for two weeks and has gone to stay at Nanny & Poppy's for a few days. I'm sure he's going to have a fabulous time. On the weekend we took Seth to Little Athletics (wk 2) and he got to try long jump, discus, 50m & 100m races and the orange race (a shuttle run apparently) AND he didn't come last this week! WOOHOO! So proud of him, and he had so much fun. I'm really glad we decided to enrol him.
I'll leave you with a quote by Seth: "So now that I'm 5 and Eme's 3, I don't have to teach her anything anymore!" Ummm, not quite, but nice to know he thinks his job is done.
Have a great week, Lis.
