Congratulations Edi!!

Last night we witnessed my brother-in-law become an Australian citizen. It's been a long, hard road, and finally he's an Aussie! So exciting!! Its such a brave thing to do, to move to a foreign country - we love this country and know this is a decision he will never regret. So here he is receiving his citizenship certificate...the announcer pronouced his name incorrectly, but it was exciting nonetheless.

Edi was part of a group of 250 people who pledged an oath to become Australian last night and they were from all corners of the world. We all sang Advance Australia Fair (our national anthem) and there was plenty of cheering and clapping. Seth even taught a lady from the UK the words (he's only 5 - soooo sweet - and he never goes to strangers, so it was a massive leap forward in his development). After there was a light supper - consisting of meat pies and Anzac biscuits (lol) - could you get anymore Australian? After, we went back to Beth & Edi's place for a party - we left around 9pm, but from what I understand, there will be some sore heads today! lol.

Congratulations Edi - we are so happy we were able to share this moment with you!
