Sometimes life just gets in the way of updating one's blog (lol). The last couple of week's have been a bit crazy. I have been suffering from migraines and minor blindness in my right eye for a little while, so I've had a little time off and some blood tests and should go back to the dr's this weekend for my results. Fingers crossed its nothing major, but just ruling out some things just in case. I've always had migraines, but when they are constant, causing you to lose your sight and making you vomit, something has to be done about it.
Eme was also admitted to hospital on Sunday night following another asthma scare. Thankfully she responded well to treatment and was discharged on Tuesday afternoon. We'll be off to see the paediatrician in 3 weeks for a follow up and hopefully its something she will grow out of. In the meantime, she has been prescribed a preventator morning and night until the end of winter. We are on day 3 of her asthma action plan and I can't thank Andrew enough for setting the alarm and getting up at 3am each morning to give her a dose of ventalin.
My mind was completely elsewhere on Monday morning and I completely forgot it was our 7th wedding anniversary. It just didn't seem as important as our baby girl's health. I am so lucky to have Andrew in my life and can't believe its been 7 years already!
Today I had to slip Andrew $5 to give to Seth to buy me a Mother's Day pressie at the school stall (lol). I'm dying to know what he's going to pick me. I'm having visions of fluffy covered coathangers and doillies and bars of soap - all highly practical and pretty (not). I'm sure whatever he brings home will be thoughtfully chosen and I will love it. On Sunday Andrew is taking Seth to the footy and I'm going to spend the day with Eme, my mum and sister - should be great. Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there - I hope you get spoilt rotten.

I do hope they can help sort out those migraines! And I hope Eme's meds kick in well. Enjoy your mother's day (and the pressies!). Lynne D.
Hope Eme gets better soon, there is nothing scarier than asthma especially in a child.
