So today Sethy-boy finally turns 5! It seems to have taken a long time to come around, but I guess that's because he started school this year and he seems so much older now. We convinced him he didn't need to have a birthday party this year, so we took him to Wildlife World and the Aquarium in Sydney instead. We had a great time, stayed overnight at Star City Casino, had dinner at Chinatown, dessert at Cold Rock and brekky in Darling Harbour, and rides on both the light rail and the Darling Harbour "train". Wildlife World was excellent, as was the Aquarium...highly recommend both if you are in or visiting Sydney. Tonight we'll be having a quiet celebration at home, then his grandparents, aunties and uncles will be visiting on the weekend - nothing like a week long birthday celebration! Still haven't decided what theme/shape cake I'll be making him - he keeps asking for a Spiderman one, but I've told him I can't make it due to copyright (lol) - its just too much detail for mummy to handle.
Over at KSK, the Design Team girls have been showcasing layouts about themselves - makes a change from layouts about our little ones (lol). Here's one of mine using the very yummy Sassafras Lass "Robotics" range and Making Memories "Fifth Avenue".
Also, over at the Bella blog they are showcasing a couple of my layouts using their new Boyz 2 Men range. I love their lace cardstock - so versatile, so easy to cut and looks great used as a mask. From June 2008, For Keeps Creative Paper will be featuring a new monthly article - "Affordable Style" - layouts and projects for $10 and under, using all Bella products. Check it out!
Thanks Anne for letting me scrap this one of your gorgeous boys!
Have a great week all.
