quick catch up...

I've been trying so hard to update my blog for over a week - the time has just flown by!! Andrew went away for work for a few days and it was just chaos being a single mum - I'm just not cut out for it. The kids were relatively good, so I can't complain. There's just so much running around to do. I thought I'd cook a roast for Andrew as a special treat when he returned and as I've said before - I'm just not that good at it. However, I used my new timer from Chef's Toolbox and it was perfect!! I can't believe it - I didn't have to cut into the middle of it to find out if it was done. The timer has a probe that you stick into the meat and it goes off once the meat reaches a certain temperature - PERFECT!!!! So happy! I even cooked white chocolate & coconut muffins and they were sensational.

Seth is right into role play at the moment and last night the kids were playing "The Biggest Loser". Seth set up his step in the loungeroom, handed me his t-shirt and went and stood on the step. Andrew made some bippy noises and announced that Seth now weighed 16.2kg and asked him how he felt. Seth stood there with his hands on his hips saying that he felt pretty good and he was happy with that - too funny. Then Eme had a turn - she took her t-shirt off too - I'll have to let her know that the girls don't take their's off for weigh ins!! hehe.

Last week I had this layout appear on got sketch. Valerie Salmon creates some beautiful sketches and I had a lot of fun putting this layout together - I so rarely do a double layout these days. When I first started scrapbooking, every layout was a double! The photos of Eme and Marley just crack me up. My mum keeps asking if he's still alive or has a longer neck, because Eme likes to "cuddle" him really tight around the neck. Marley loves her despite her "affection". Here's another layout I created for Bella a little while ago but haven't shared yet, using their "Delightful Life" range of papers and embellishments. The colours are so soft and lovely, and the weight of their patterned paper is like cardstock - I just love using them. I've been creating layouts like mad lately for SIA in April, so will share some more after the event.

In other news:

Scrapbook HQ have asked me to join their design team. I'm so excited!! Jen, Kate and all the girls are just lovely. I'll be creating a few page kits each month and teaching occasionally - I've already created my first kit and it will be on sale shortly. They are just about to receive a huge shipment of new product direct from CHA, so can't wait to have a play!

Scrapbooking Delights are having a huge Easter Saturday sale this weekend - 20% off storewide and 30% off for xDs members! There's some great product instore at the moment, so well worth the trip. I'm also teaching a fundamentals class using Heidi Swapp masks, from 10.30am-12.30pm. There are a couple of seats available, so give Sandra a ring if you're interested (ph. 02 4260 8885).
I recently resigned from the stuck ct - just wanted to shout out to the girls and say hi and thanks to Sara for having me as a part of the team for the last 6 months. I've created some fun layouts along the way and have been so inspired. I will definitely be visiting the site for inspiration in the future.
Also, I haven't forgotten my RAKs, and will be posting them tomorrow. LynneD, can you please email me your address so I can forward your goodies.

Cheers everyone,
L.

Kids are such copy cats! I love all the LO's you do with the Bella products. I liked seeing all your "stuck" pages as well. Love your style and like to see your creations. Lynne D.
