I cannot believe how quickly this year is going! We have so many events coming up in the next few weeks, it just seems that you count down to one event and then the next one is at your doorstep. In the next week alone, I have to go away for work, my cousin is getting married, Seth has his school photos and cross country, and then I'm teaching a couple of classes for Bella at SIA in Sydney (should be fantastic - if you're going and want to catch up/meet, drop me an email). Busy, busy, busy...that doesn't include the everyday stuff we have to do at home (and believe me, it has to be done because we did nothing this weekend!).
This week I have a layout featured on Got Sketch. I just love Valerie's sketches - they're so versatile and feel so balanced - whenever I'm lost for inspiration, got sketch never fails to deliver. Thanks Valerie for allowing me to contribute. I've used the papers, flowers and ribbon from my March Sissey kit (Scenic Route "Lynden" - the colours are so fresh - love them). How gorgeous is Sethy-boy's smile?! He takes the loveliest photo (sometimes - lol). For a while now we've been calling him "our teenager in a little person's body" and this weekend he hasn't let the name down. On Friday night Andrew took him to see the Eels beat Newcastle in a golden-point thriller. Thankfully the Eels won because it wouldn't have been fun in my house this weekend. Seth tells me he got to see the cheerleaders and Sparky the Eel, but not the walking vomit (hehe - that's what he calls the person dressed like a Subway sandwich). They didn't get home until nearly midnight, so he was pretty tired all day Saturday. Then Saturday night he stayed up late again (overtired), but didn't get up until after 9.30am Sunday morning! I wish!! I was up at the decent 7.30am, and everyone else in our house stayed asleep - I'm not complaining though because I got to scrapbook in my pyjamas in peace. Last night, the vicious cycle continued with him staying up late and not wanting to get up this morning. Tonight I'll be putting my foot down and sending him to bed early!
Eme has also been wandering the halls at all hours of the night, not wanting to sleep in her bed. In the last week she has slept in our bed, while either I've slept in her bed or Andrew has slept on the lounge, or in the bed with her too. All three of us can't share a bed because she sleeps sideways and I just can't sleep with a toddler's feet in my face! She must be coming down with something because normally she's not that bad! It might also have something to do with the fact that she's going to two daycare centres and is confused - hopefully that will be rectified soon.
On the cute side...when I picked her up on Thursday, she grabbed my ears and brought our faces close together, then told me "I had a fun day today darlin', I had fun today sweetheart". Too cute. She's always calling me darlin' - wonder where she gets that from (lol). Mind you, she calls Marley (the dog) darlin' too, so I don't feel too privileged.
Have a great week everyone. Cheers, L.

Hey Lisa! Long time no comment from me, but I've been checking up on you regularly, thanks so much for the inspiration as I've been very lacking of late! Thanks also for the Got Sketch link, what a fantastic blog, I have printed some sketches out to try, your one of Seth is amazing (as usual!).
Cheers,
Sar
Hope the kids have settled down with their sleeping now. Just love all the funny little things they pick to imitate! Have fun at SIA. Lynne D.
