kiwiscraps

I went along to the Kiwiscraps Crafting Connection weekend last week and had an absolutely fantastic time! Did lots of classes and managed to come home with a bag full of unfinished projects/layouts. I know what I'll be doing this weekend!! If I don't complete them straight away, they'll just end up in a drawer and forgotten.
This layout was from Wendy Smedley's "Simple Cover" class, which was excellent. The layout is based on a Simple Scrapbooks cover, but I just had to change it up a little. I've always loved these photos and felt they just needed some journaling (nb Sandra - I've finished off my buttons! lol). I can't believe its been a year already since we had our family photo shoot - we must be due to do another one real soon. As I finish the projects, I'll share them...
Head on over to Scrapbooking Delights...between now and Christmas, if you purchase a gift certificate, they'll add an extra $5! Every dollar counts when it comes to buying product right!?! So $20 = $25; $30 = $35 etc - excellent!
I taught a fantastic class last night - 10 people! We all made gorgeous Christmas gift boxes using the new Kaiser papers, bling, red tinsel embossed letters and tonnes of ribbon and stamping - everyone managed to finish in the 2 hours as well. To quote Nic Howard - no ones leaves until they finish! The class is running again on Saturday 24 Nov. from 10.30-12.30pm, so book in if you're interested.
I'm really looking forward to Chrissy now and can't wait to put up the tree - only 40 more days (and yes, my shopping is finished).
Cheers, L.

gorgeous layout! I dont think Adelaide even gets a specific scrapping show, but I went to the craft show last week and made my first card (stampin up!)

And I had never had a Christmas tree before (my dad is muslim) so we never had one growing up. Last Christmas Shane and I were madly moving in together, but this year we have one and I was (am) so excited

Thinking about scrapping it for this week's sketch :)
