Review & Giveaway | Lemonade Mouth on dvd!

I'll admit...I'm a sucker for Disney movies and the Disney channel...so when the opportunity came along to review one of their brand new movies, I jumped at the chance!!

Introducing "Lemonade Mouth"...the all-new Disney channel original movie!  If you loved High School Musical and Camp Rock, then Lemonade Mouth is right up your alley.

Lemonade Mouth is the story of five high school students who meet by chance in detention. Their bond is instant and together they discover their shared love of music, friendship and standing up for what they believe in.

Faced with opposition from their school principal, high school bullies, a competing band and family issues, these five plucky teenagers pull it together to become a band that everyone loves! There's a little romance thrown in, but true to Disney style, there is no kissing or swearing (love that in a kids movie).

Our verdict...we didn't like this movie...we LOVED it!!  I know that this movie will be making it into our regular play list.  Not only are the characters believable, and the storyline engaging; the music is really good! I think the Disney Channel have hit a home run with this one. The cast is incredibly talented and the music is so sophisticated...I would happily listen to it in the car or on my ipod. The kids are already asking me for a copy of the soundtrack!! (mental note: source soundtrack). I'll admit, I cried at the end...call me a sooky-lala if you will.  Laughed out loud too at how they came up with their band name! You'll have to watch it to find out.

Seth and Eme loved it too!  Seth (7.5) thought the music was great and the band were pretty cool. He was particularly impressed by the dancing at the end. Eme (5) was totally enthralled from beginning to end...and now has a crush on "Charlie" the drummer (played by newcomer Blake Michael)...too cute.  Eme also told me that the principal (played by Christopher McDonald) was mean and nothing like her school principal (glad to hear it!).  So, big thumbs up from the Warren family.

Check out the trailer for yourself!
