She loves to dance...

Like most little girls, my daughter loves to dance. She spins, she twirls, and she cartwheels all over the house. For the last two years, Eme has been attending a local dance academy...beginning as a ballet student, and this year adding jazz, and acrobatics, to her repertoire. The culmination of a year's worth of hard training is the annual dance concert. All of the dance academy kids love it...especially the costumes!  This year's dance concert theme was "Dance into the world of games", with each dance representing a different type of childhood game...so much fun! My friend Carissa of Bella Piccolo Photography captured these gorgeous images of Miss Eme in each of her concert outfits, and I just had to share...

Chinese Whispers - Grade 2/3 Ballet
Trouble - Grade 2 Acrobatics
btw - Eme does amazingly slow and controlled cartwheels...look at those shoulder muscles.
Schoolyard Games - U8 Jazz Troupe
Aren't they just beautiful! There's loads more, but I'll refrain from being a total dance mum. lol.

The dance academy put on two amazing performances last weekend, and at the end of the second show was the annual presentation. I managed to watch the action from side stage, and was shocked and so incredibly proud when Eme's name was announced as "Most consistent in Grade 2 Acrobatics". I went into a little bit of an ugly cry...so, so happy for her. All of those cartwheels around the house paid off!
Eme's already talking about adding tap and modern to her regime next year. We'll see...
