DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted...and a giveaway! (closed)

This post is sponsored by Nuffnang.

The Warren family recently headed up to Sydney to attend a pre-screening of the latest instalment in the Madagascar franchise... DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted in 3D!
Usually once the third movie is released, the storyline is a little weak and your favourite characters have been replaced...not in this case! Fans will be thrilled to know that not only is this movie great...it's better than the other two films put together (in our humble opinions)! Eme rated it 600 thumbs up. That's a pretty impressive stat!
"I come for the service, but stay for the leg room!" Seth dons his wig and 3D glasses, and stretches out in the Gold Class cinema, waiting for Madagascar 3 to begin...

All your favourite characters are back! Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and my favourite, Melman the Giraffe...along with King Julien, Maurice, and those ingenious Penguins. The new characters are just as endearing, and you will fall in the love with them. Vitaly the Tiger, Gia the Jaquar, and Stefano the Sea Lion, and many other animals, belong to a circus troupe, that let's face it...aren't all that good at what they do.  The Madagascar gang whips their act into shape, seeing the circus as their ticket home to the Big Apple and their home at the zoo.
The Warrens join the in the Madagascar Circus fun!
Their adventure back home is action packed, hilarious, and touching all at once. As all good friends do, they stick together through thick and mostly thin, and are there for each other when it counts the most. Don't fear that this one is just for the kids...there's loads of entertaining snippets for adults as well (is it just me, or was one of the scenes inspired by Dirty Dancing?).  DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is visually stunning. We were blown away by the scenery and the 3D special effects. At one point there, you could almost see every blade of grass swaying on the hills. The circus performances are an incredible feast for the eyes too.

We watched the movie right until the very end of the credits, singing along to the very catchy Polkadot Circus...a song that has been stuck in my head all week!  Once the movie finished, it was time for us to join the circus!! The kids and I had our faces painted like the characters, were interviewed for a short video about DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, then we all piled in the Mooove bus, to be transported to Sydney Circus Arts at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
Seth and Eme look like they were born to join the circus!
We had so much fun "refining" our circus skills...hula-hooping, plate spinning, juggling, walking along the tightrope and swinging on the low trapeze!  Eme was a natural on the tightrope, barely holding on to my hand.  Seth rocked the hula-hoop, starting off with one, then two, then three...he had them under his spell!
As for my juggling skills...let's just say I won't be going professional any time soon!
Last event of the day...the high trapeze! One look at how high it was and I chickened out. I didn't think I'd even make it up the ladder, let alone swing out.  Eme on the other hand, climbed straight to the top, no problems...then changed her mind and climbed back down. Seth was next. Not to be outdone by his sister, he got to the top, stepped over to the ledge, held on tight and off he went!
Flying through the air, with the greatest of ease...
I was so impressed with Seth's bravery...not bad for a 9 year old. Andrew braved the high trapeze too...not to be shown up as a chicken. Though...neither of them could complete with Alex the Lion, and the "Trapeze American"...you'll have to see the movie to find out how that trick goes.  In the meantime, check out our own video...
Such a fabulous family day out, and we'd like to send out a big thank you to Nuffnang and Paramount Pictures for organising it for us. It really was a magical experience.
Now we know how movie stars feel being interviewed...we're ready for our close-up!
