Layouts by the kiddies...

Yesterday it was pouring rain at home and the kids couldn't go outside to play, so they scrapbooked instead. I found some scraps of paper for them, some stickers and leftover photos, and off they went. I think they did incredibly well.

First up, Sethy-boy (who's nearly 6)...here he is adding his journaling. Unfortunately, he made a mistake, so I stamped a journaling spot for him and off he went again... Here's his finished layout. The journaling reads "A little while ago we celebrated Easter with our cousins Sabine and George. April 2007". lol. I think he must be listening to me rabbiting on about scrapbooking because he needed odd numbers of stickers. hehe.
Here's Miss Emeline (3.5) going to town with the glue stick. The stuff on her page isn't going anywhere! lol.
Here's the finished product. She was adamant that she wanted flowers on her layout (she even used the word "layout"...ahh, so proud). She picked out the flowers (all 6 of them!), I layered them up, put a brad through and added some foam tape for her and she stuck it all together. Then she went the sticker sneeze with the Easter egg stickers...but she loves it! The journaling tag reads "Happy Easter" apparently. lol. I handed her the letters she needed for her title and she was terribly upset that she couldn't stick the whole sheet of Thickers on there! No way Jose!
Being the good scrapbooker, she even journaled on the back. Its a letter to her cousins. Once again I have to take her word for it. lol.
Hope that made you smile...they are now proudly hanging in my scrap room for inspiration.
Ciao for now.

Well clearly you need reading glasses, girlie, I can understand every word of that letter! Those pages are priceless - makes me smile because kids' stuff often looks better than what we produce when we're starting out and thinking about it too hard!
